The UK is set to send a new £300m ($376m) package of military aid to Ukraine amid ongoing efforts to rearm the embattled country to combat the Russian invasion.

The move will be officially announced by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson during an address to Ukraine’s Parliament through a live video link.
According to a government statement, the new package will include night-vision devices, electronic warfare equipment, a counter-battery radar system and GPS jamming equipment.
Additionally, the UK plans to deliver heavy lift systems in the following weeks to provide logistical support to isolated forces.
More than 12 new specialised Toyota Landcruisers will also be provided to support evacuation efforts and to protect civilian officials in Eastern Ukraine.

By GlobalDataIn his address, Johnson is expected to say: “When my country faced the threat of invasion during the Second World War, our parliament – like yours – continued to meet throughout the conflict, and the British people showed such unity and resolve that we remember our time of greatest peril as our finest hour.
“This is Ukraine’s finest hour, an epic chapter in your national story that will be remembered and recounted for generations to come.”
The UK has been supplying Ukraine with weaponry after Russia launched a ‘military operation’ in February.
This includes sending missiles and other munitions to the Ukrainian military.
The British Government is also expected to send sophisticated land Brimstone missiles and Stormer air defence vehicles to Ukraine. Last week, an update was provided to the parliament regarding sending such systems.
