The move comes after British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace hosted the second International Defence Donor Conference for Ukraine (IDDCU) to discuss the latest situation.
Approximately 35 international partners participated in the conference.
The expanded military package is expected to include air and coastal defence systems, artillery and counter battery capabilities, and armoured vehicles, as well as offering training and logistical support.
UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said: “Today’s donor conference demonstrates the international community’s determination to support Ukraine in the face of President Putin’s illegal and unprovoked invasion by Russian forces.

To date, the UK has provided more than 4,000 NLAWs and Javelin anti-tank systems, among others, to Ukraine. It has also agreed to send Starstreak air defence systems and 6,000 new anti-tank and high explosive missiles.
The British Army is sending 84,000 surplus helmets to the Ukrainian military. The members of the 2nd Battalion of The Royal Anglian Regiment are expected to finish packing the helmets for shipment by this week.
Australia has also announced additional military aid for Ukraine.
The $18.7m (A$25m) package will include tactical decoys, uncrewed aerial and uncrewed ground systems, rations, and medical supplies.
The latest support brings Australia’s total military assistance to Ukraine to $86.7m (A$116m).
In a joint media statement, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said: “The Australian Government will continue to identify opportunities for further military assistance where it is able to provide a required capability to the Ukraine Armed Forces expeditiously.”
Last month, Australia committed approximately $51m (A$70m) in lethal military assistance for Ukraine.
