The Russian Ground Forces will receive a number of advanced weapons in 2011, including modernised air defence missile systems, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.
“Starting in 2011, ground forces will receive modernised S-300V4 and Buk-M2 medium-range air defence systems, Tor-M2 short-range air defence systems and portable air defence systems,” it added.

The army will continue to receive Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles, new multiple-launch rocket systems, self-propelled guns, BTR-82A armoured personnel carriers, and anti-tank missile systems.
