The £20m contract also extends to provide instrumental Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) training capability to improve soldiers’ skills in finding IED devices used by terrorist or guerrilla forces.

The complete Deployed Tactical Engagement Systems (D-TES) capability will also be shipped from Kenya to the UK and deployed to Salisbury Plain later this year in support of the UK training effort.

The capability is being delivered to barracks, training establishments or training areas where UK military personnel conduct pre-deployment training.
