Saab has received a long-term framework agreement from the US Army to provide radio systems for communication (LT2-IRS) for live training.
The Skr260m ($41m) agreement, awarded by the US Army Program Executive Office of Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), covers an initial one-year term with options for two additional years.

According to the agreement, the company will produce and field seven radio-based communication systems to enhance warfighters’ skills and capabilities.
The first system will be delivered in November 2011, with delivery of an additional instrumentation system expected every eight months to seven US Army homestations worldwide.
