The AGP is derived from the defensive aids system controller in the combat-proven helicopter-integrated defensive aids system (HIDAS), which is currently installed on British Army Apaches and those of the Kuwaiti and Greek armed forces.

The first AGP-equipped Apaches have been delivered to the US Army and UAE Armed Forces after successful testing in 2009.

The AGP will be installed as aircraft ‘A-kit’ equipment on all new and remanufactured extended block II and block III Apache helicopters.
