Israel’s Elbit Systems has secured a contract valued at approximately $350m to supply a suite of land systems to an overseas customer.

The company did not disclose the name of the customer.

The types of land systems covered under the contract was also undisclosed.

The contract covers a three-year period.

Elbit Systems president and CEO Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis said: “This contract award attests to the competitive advantage of our diverse portfolio of land systems.

“We are witnessing a growing demand in this field as armed forces increasingly seek to adopt sophisticated networked capabilities that enhance mission effectiveness and reduce collateral damage, while also improving economic efficiency.”

Elbit Systems is a provider of systems and sensors for land forces.

Alongside providing modernisation and training to maintenance depots, it also offers life-cycle support services for the land platforms.

Some of the company’s combat-proven systems include target acquisition, battle management, laser warning and protection, weapon stations, surveillance, fire control (FC), and turret drives.

Elbit Systems also offers life support systems, add-on auxiliary power units, and other autonomous systems.

Last month, Elbit Systems reported a 20% increase in revenue in Q3 2021 on a year-on-year basis, driven by organic growth.

During the same month, the Israel-based electronics defence firm launched a new subsidiary in the UAE.

The subsidiary, dubbed Elbit Systems Emirates, is expected to increase Elbit System’s cooperation with the UAE Armed Forces in the long term.
