Alion Science and Technology has received three contracts from the US Army to provide technical engineering support to improve the future LandWarNet concepts and enabling capabilities.

Under the $8.6m task orders, the company will provide services and subject matter expertise to help the Army Headquarters Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7 to prioritise, integrate, migrate and synchronise LandWarNet and Battle Command capabilities.

The services include analysis, technical support, project management, configuration management, quality assurance and staff level research.

Alion will also provide a fully trained army modelling and simulation community to meet the army’s war fighting needs.

Work under the Battle Command Support Services contract vehicle will run through 31 July 2012.

LandWarNet is the Army’s programme of record consisting of globally interlinked networks connected to the Department of Defense’s (DoD) global information grid (GIG).
