The delivery follows the €125m contract secured by the company under the Armament Programme 2010 for the supply of 910 vehicles along with related support, project management and engineering services for a period of four years. The vehicles delivered under the contract include 14 model variants from the Stralis and Trakker heavy truck vehicle ranges.

All vehicles are fully enhanced environmentally friendly vehicles (EEV) featuring ecological and economical FPT industrial cursor engines and are fitted with automated EuroTronic transmissions and an automatic drive train management (ADM) system. The Stralis is a heavy-duty truck, available in both tractor and rigid versions, suitable for international and national transport as well as for cargo distribution in urban environments.

The vehicle offers safe drive capability due to an integrated anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce limitation (EBL) and an optional anti-slip regulation (ASR) to prevent slippage of the drive wheels and improve traction on slippery or uneven road surfaces. The Trakker is an on/off-road range of vehicles designed for operation in any climate and on any type of terrain, from normal tarmac roads and dirt track roads to extreme off-road conditions, and offers maximum comfort, safety and productivity.

The vehicle is available in a range of militarised versions including armoured variants and is currently in service with ten Nato countries for civil on-road and heavy-duty missions. Deliveries of the remaining vehicles under the contract will take place over the next four years.
