Government services provider Perspecta has secured a contract to support the US Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Global Content Delivery Services (GCDS) II programme.

The contract is a follow-on single award and will see the company provide technical services for the programme.

With a ceiling value of $201.5m, the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), firm-fixed-price agreement has a three-year base performance period.

It also comes with options to extend the contract by three additional one-year periods.

Perspecta defence group senior vice-president Jeff Bohling said: “The global reach of the DoD means it must have the most secure, reliable and rapid capability for delivering content anywhere.

“This award is a testament to our strong performance on the GCDS I programme. We look forward to expanding the value we provide to our DISA customer by augmenting our core services with user experience and modernisation enhancements to maintain DoD’s information superiority.”

Under the programme, Perspecta will continue managing content-related services such as secure content delivery, network storage, web application availability and streaming.

These services are used by all military services, combatant commands and US Department of Defence (DoD) agencies.

In 2006, Perspecta was awarded the GCDS I programme and won the recompete in 2014.

The company supported DISA to expand the US DoD enterprise network Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
