Rheinmetall Canada and Lockheed Martin Canada have joined forces to bid for the Canadian Army Land Vehicle Crew Training System (LVCTS) programme.
Along with Rheinmetall Canada and Lockheed Martin Canada, the partnership will include Rheinmetall Electronics of Bremen, Germany and Lockheed Martin Training and Logistics Solutions in Orlando, Florida, US.

Rheinmetall Canada along with its partners will offer a cost-effective solution for the LVCTS project of the Canadian Army.
According to the team, the Canadian Army can conduct training using the LVCTS solution at different levels including individual, crew, platoon and echelon.
Training can be delivered using a comprehensive instructional system, reconfigurable trainers and standard trainee workstations.
The software can produce challenging scenarios such as simulating different terrain types, weather conditions, capabilities, and tactics.

By GlobalDataTo train the platoon, the Individual Crew Training Systems (CTSs) will be linked through the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol and High-Level Architecture (HLA) gateways.
Additionally, the system permits customisation of training scenarios, monitoring of trainee progress and after-action review.

Last month, Bundeswehr awarded a procurement order to Rheinmetall for the supply of four Route Clearance Systems (RCS).
