Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) subsidiary Engility has won a contract to continue to support the US Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC).

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has a potential value of up to $106m and a performance period of ten years.

In 2017, Engility was awarded a contract to support the NMEC.

The contract will support NMEC’s training, document and media management, programme support, and related intelligence operations.

SAIC team handles document and media exploitation processes including data acquisition, ingest, processing, reporting, and timely dissemination.

These services are part of a mechanism to keep the military’s hierarchy updated about any changes or developments based on media content, including paper and media files, videotapes, audiotapes and electronic equipment, gathered by the US military and intelligence community.

SAIC completed the acquisition of Engility in January in a $2.5bn all-stock transaction. The company made the purchase as part of its strategic plans to expand its intelligence community portfolio.

Engility is specialised in providing next-generation systems engineering and integration services to space, federal, and intelligence customers.
