STG has received a contract to provide software support services to the US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Assistant Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff.

Under the terms of the $3.8m agreement, the company will provide non-personal information technology (IT) planning, development, migration, implementation and sustainment support to the NETCOM Assistant Chief of Staff, G-6.

The contract includes one base year and a possible one-year option.

STG Enterprise Services Sector general manager Glenn Davis said: "STG has been a mission partner with NETCOM G-6 for seven years.

"During that time, STG’s mission has grown significantly, along with the level of technical support advanced to software development and application modification and sustainment."

STG president and COO Paul Fernandes said: "We are excited to expand our support team at Fort Belvoir, Fort Huachuca, and expand our current capability to provide advanced IA engineering services for NETCOM."

Headquartered at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, US, NETCOM is the army’s global network enterprise (GNE) service provider, executing a full-spectrum of cyber operations and attaining information superiority, as well as a joint, interagency and multinational network enterprise.

The command plans, engineers, installs, integrates, safeguards and operates army cyberspace, enabling mission command through all phases of joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multinational operations.

Specifically, NETCOM designs, implements, operates and manages several GNE capabilities, including information technology asset management (ITAM), enterprise collaboration services (ECS) and joint enterprise email and global ticketing consolidation (GTC).

STG also received a contract with a maximum ceiling value of $103m from the army to provide eight major LandWarNet services to more than 450,000 continental US (CONUS)-based end users.

The CONUS-Theater Network Operations and Security Center (C-TNOSC) information technology support services (ITSS) contract covers the provision of contract management, technical services and CONUS LandWarNet operations support.
