The defence ministry has been using GEMS Scheme since its launch in 2012 and has witnessed success so far.

Approximately £14m in savings and £37m efficiencies were achieved, along with 11% staff engagement. A total of more than 5,000 ideas have been submitted to date, which includes 466 that are currently being taken forward.

Wazoku CEO and founder Simon Hill said: “We have a rich heritage of working with the public sector so are delighted to now have the chance to work with the Ministry of Defence.

“It’s an organisation that already has a successful track record of innovation, so implementing Wazoku’s Idea Spotlight platform feels like a natural evolution as it seeks to embed ideas and innovation into its everyday capability.”
