The US Army Korean Service Corps (KSC) Battalion has successfully completed its annual mobilisation exercise, Mobex, at the Daegu Mobilization Station.

Conducted at four KSC mobilisation stations, the three-day exercise aimed to improve the skills of around 22,000 personnel.

After an identification procedure and physical examination, the pre-registered mobiles underwent basic army, chemical, biological, and radiation-nuclear training.

On completing the training procedures under the supervision of the operation cell, the mobiles were issued supplies and deployed.

KSC battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Devon D. NuDelman said: "The 8th Army relies upon KSC because we help them get their legs underneath them. We buttress the whole thing for the first 30-60 days of war.

With 2,185 paramilitary personnel, the KSC Battalion provides support to US Forces Korea (USFK) and the Eighth Army.

KSC plans to conduct command post and wartime host nation support exercises in the near future.
