Clients will now be able to choose the type and range of firepower to be fitted on the Casspir 2000 vehicle.

Rheinmetall Denel Munitions’ Plofadder mine-clearing system can also be fitted onto the Casspir hull.

Powered by Atlantis OM352A turbo-charged diesel engine, the Casspir is primarily designed as mine-resistant troop carrier. It can also be configured to serve as a field ambulance, as well a command-and-control, recovery, or light transport vehicle.

The vehicle offers a cruising speed of 100kmph on roads and up to 40kmph on most off-road conditions. It can withstand a 14kg explosive blast under each wheel.

The Casspir NG 2000 is available in two versions, fitted with run-flat tyres, and provides a choice of manual or automatic transmission.

The vehicle has extensively been used by the UN, South African National Defence Force (SANDF), private security companies and police services for demining or military operations worldwide.
