Saab, an aerospace and defence company based in Sweden, has won a $10.27m contract to provide new laser simulator devices for the Swedish Army’s training system.

The contract was awarded by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and simulator deliveries are expected to take place in 2017.

General Dynamics Land Systems has secured a foreign military sales contract worth $65.29m to provide logistics support and training for M1A1 main battle tanks and M88A2 recovery vehicles of the Iraqi Army.

Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command, the contract is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.

A contract notice has been issued by the UK Ministry of Defence for repair work on the British Army’s Challenger 2 main battle tank fleet.

The contract, which has a five-year base period and one-year extension options, covers the repair and maintenance of the Challenger 2's auxiliary power units.
