Chemring EOD was honoured to be nominated for a Counter Terrorism and Specialist Security (CTSS) Award. The award ceremony and gala dinner took place at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.

Chemring EOD supply defence and security customers worldwide by working with an experienced network of agents and distributors. Delivering a comprehensive range of counter threat solutions designed to detect, defeat and initiate contemporary threats in both military and civil environments.

The CTSS Awards were brand new for this year and the event is looking to set the industry standard with entries from across the globe. To be short-listed alongside the other international entries was high recognition for Chemring EOD.

Sir Alan Sugar’s side-kick and Apprentice star, Margaret Gilmore was the master of ceremonies, introducing each of the awards. The CTSS Awards were the highlight of a gourmet gala dinner. Winners were voted for by members of the global defence and security community.

Chemring EOD was short listed in the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and improvised explosive device disposal (IEDD) of the Year 2011, voters considered the following:

  • Delivery of system
  • Research, development and training investment
  • Testing and industry standard compliance
  • Innovation

The event was the perfect platform to raise the profile of Chemring EOD and enhance the reputation of the company as a leader in the counter terror market.
