The Spanish Ministry of Defence (MOD) has completed the delivery of medical aid to Iraq. The Iraqi authorities took delivery of oxygen masks, personal protective gloves, protective gowns and N95 face masks, as well as disinfectants, sprayer pumps and medicines. It is part of a comprehensive donation of medical supplies that commenced late last month. Two commercial aircraft were used to delivery the supplies after Iraq requested support through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC).

The US Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) has announced that its coronavirus plan moves to the execution phase in Stuttgart. For the first time since March, Defense Department school students in kindergarten through grade 12 will be able to attend in person, remotely or virtually. The DoDEA School’s Covid mitigation plan was briefed by DoDEA director Thomas Brady. There are 159 DoDEA schools located in seven states, two US territories and 11 nations. Out of the 45 DODEA schools in the Pacific region, 19 will open remotely. Two schools will open remotely out of the 64 schools in Europe and the Middle East. In the US, 25 out of the 50 schools will open remotely.
New protective medical supplies procured through the US Department of Defense (DOD) have been handed over for use by Rwanda’s frontline healthcare workers to stop the spread of Covid-19. The donation is worth RWF131m ($0.13472m) and includes surgical masks, sterile and disposable gloves, protective boots, and N95 airborne-particle filtering respirators. It will be distributed in 349 public healthcare facilities across Rwanda, including 25 district, provincial, and referral hospitals in the country.
