The US Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is offering a choice between returning to campus or registering for virtual school online to parents and students as it prepares to welcome students back to a safe and Covid-free environment. Schools of DoDEA will follow CDC and DoD Covid-19 recommendations to mitigate risks to students as well as staff on campus. When a distance of six feet cannot be maintained, face masks will be required.

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind has donated Rs2m to the Army hospital for the purchase of equipment to help doctors and paramedics combat Covid-19. The amount will be used to buy powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) units that enable medical professionals to breathe during surgeries and protect them from infection, according to an official communique. The contribution from the President has been made possible due to an exercise to economise expenditure at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Seven Army personnel from Nepal and 22 migrant workers placed in various quarantine centres in Bara district have tested positive for Covid-19 infection. The infection was confirmed by a laboratory located at Narayani Hospital. After testing positive, all 22 migrant workers and the Army personnel have been kept in isolation, and are currently under observation in Kalaiya, Bara. The Himalayan Times reported that more than 50 specimens were collected upon contact tracing of Devtal Rural Municipality chief and deputy chief. They were tested positive for Covid-19.
