The US Army Contracting Command has awarded a firm-fixed-price modification contract to Force Protection for the purchase of an additional 167 Buffalo A2 mine-protected clearance vehicles.
The $185.9m modification contract also includes delivery of 102 Buffalo A2 bar armour kits.

The company had recently received full material release and authorisation to proceed to full-rate production of the Buffalo vehicle.
The vehicle is used by the US Army and other domestic services, as well as militaries worldwide, to safely perform critical route clearance missions.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Ladson, South Carolina, US, with deliveries to take place up to April 2014.
