The Pakistan and Chinese Armies have begun a brigade-level joint training exercise, YOUYI-IV, near Jhelum in Punjab.

The two-week exercise is aimed at augmenting the capability of the two armies to counter non-traditional security threats and initiate joint anti-terror activities.

The exercise involving the special forces of both armies will also strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, according to Associated Press of Pakistan.

The exercise is the fourth between the two nations since 2004.
