M&As this week: Smith & Wesson, Defense Group

Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation, a handgun manufacturer based in the US, has agreed to buy Crimson Trace Corporation from Crimson Trace Holdings for $95m.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation, a handgun manufacturer based in the US, has agreed to buy Crimson Trace Corporation from Crimson Trace Holdings for $95m.

Headquartered in the US, Crimson Trace Corporation is engaged in developing laser sighting systems and tactical lights for weapons.

Defense Group has sold its subsidiary, Emergency & Security Management Solutions (ESMS), to Dynamis.

The acquisition of ESMS will help improve Dynamis’ business growth in the information technology solutions market.
