Iran plans to stage massive drills within the next two months to showcase new military achievements, Iranian Army ground force commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan has said.

“The week-long military manoeuvre will be held in southern Iran and we have done our best to include munitions in the drill,” he said.

The drill will display various military equipment including unmanned drones, missiles and upgraded tanks, according to Fars News Agency.

Iran has manufactured different types of military tools, weapons, systems and equipment, especially electronic and telecommunication devices for different fields of action.

The country has produced its own jet fighters and armoured vehicles, radar-avoiding missiles and other high-tech weapons since 1992 as part of its arms development programme.
