Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov will meet Indian Defence Ministry officials to discuss military-technical cooperation between the two countries on 7 October.
The discussion will analyse the impact of joint activity on military-technical cooperation and will focus on the repair and upgrade of the Admiral Gorshkov heavy aircraft carrier, and the licensed production of Sukhoi-30MKI jets and T-90S tanks.
Issues such as production of advanced front-line aircraft, a multipurpose transport plane and joint development and production of the BrahMos cruise missile will also be discussed.
The countries will also sign a protocol to set guidelines for military cooperation and measures to implement current projects, according to Itar-Tass News Agency.
The ninth session focused on after-sale servicing of Russian arms and military hardware, and cooperation in the development and production of multipurpose transport aircraft.
