Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has been equipped with Fateh-110 high-precision ballistic missiles, according to IRGC Aerospace Force Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.

“We have received the third generation of Fateh-110 missile with a range of 300 kilometres from the Defense Ministry and they were displayed at the parades today,” he said.

The Fateh-110 is a short-range, road-mobile, solid-propellant, high-precision ballistic missile equipped with advanced navigation and control systems, according to The Fars News Agency.

The Iranian Defence Ministry will also equip its force with new missiles, military equipment and systems every month as part of a new contract between the ministry and IRGC Aerospace Force.

Iran has been concentrating on arms development programmes to achieve self-sufficiency.
