The US is planning to sell $60bn of arms to Saudi Arabia over the next ten years in what promises to be the largest arms sale by the US to a foreign country.

The proposed deal, which includes $30bn of Apache and Black Hawk attack helicopters, is in addition to the already-offered 84 F-15 fighter jets.
