Nato’s military cooperation with Russia is expected to be strengthened in 2011, according to a top delegation in the alliance.

Both the parties have discussed the implementation and further development of Nato-Russia military-to-military cooperation in the framework of the Nato-Russia Council (NRC).

Talks mainly include the further development of joint military activities for 2011 in various potential areas, including improved cooperation in Afghanistan and counter-IEDs.

The Nato delegation also discussed the achievements of the NRC military work plan for 2010 in the areas of logistics, combating terrorism, search and rescue, and anti- piracy.
