The Dutch Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to Aramex to provide ground transport services across Europe.

Under the two-year contract, the company will handle the inbound and outbound shipments from the Netherlands to locations across the EU, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.

Shipments will also involve the movement of helicopter blades, aircraft engines and spares, and supplies for international training exercises.

Aramex Netherlands will also deploy additional staff to expand its capacity where needed.

Work under the contract will be carried out at the company’s facility in Eindhoven and is expected to be extended until 2014.
