The Finnish Army has received an EB Tough VoIP tactical communications system from Elektrobit Corporation, which will soon begin field trials in different military scenarios. The system, specifically designed for ground forces, features broadband data communications, enhanced VoIP service

The Finnish Army has received an EB Tough VoIP tactical communications system from Elektrobit Corporation, which will soon begin field trials in different military scenarios.

The system, specifically designed for ground forces, features broadband data communications, enhanced VoIP services, and provides significant levels of increased performance and operational capabilities.

The EB Tough also allows the Finnish Defence Forces to adopt a network-centric defence model.

The solution units of the system are EB Tough VoIP terminal and the EB Tough VoIP network extender provide services to many clients including rugged and secure VoIP clients for military communications, radio over IP clients and tactical data radio.
