Indian Defence Minister AK Antony has asked the armed forces to work in cooperation with cyber security agencies to develop a crisis management action plan against cyber terrorism.

Antony, speaking at the Unified Commanders’ Conference, said that unprecedented cyber crimes had taken place across the globe, exposing holes in cyber security systems, according to the Times of India.

“Although defence services at all levels have taken steps to counter the cyber threat through stringent implementation of cyber security policy, there is still a requirement to ensure that all loopholes are suitably plugged,” he said.

The minister said close coordination with national agencies including the Computer and Emergency Response Team, the National Technical Research Organisation, home and IT ministries was essential to develop a crisis management action plan
