Rockwell Collins will supply its transportable Blackhawk operations simulator (T-BOS) to train the Kingdom of Bahrain’s UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter pilots under a foreign military sale from the US Army.
Rockwell Collins Simulation & Training Solutions vice-president Ken Schreder said T-BOS is the US Army’s standard deployable training device for the Blackhawk helicopter.

“The beauty of this trainer is that its mobile nature makes it possible to take training to pilots in the field, saving precious time and resources,” he said.
The T-BOS is air, land and sea transportable high-fidelity flight simulator, which can be ready for training within eight hours of arrival due to its own organic power and environmental control unit.
The simulator is operational at army posts across the US. Additional T-BOS devices are scheduled to be delivered to Fort Rucker and Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 2011.
