DynCorp International will provide training support services for the Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and Nato training mission under a $232.4m contract.
Under the contract, the company will provide a complete range of mentoring, training, subject matter expertise and programmatic support to CSTC-A staff and the Afghanistan Ministry of Defence.
The contract is part of the Afghanistan MoD programme that supports development of organisational capacity and capability to assist the Afghanistan MoD and Afghan National Army forces in assuming full responsibility for their own security needs.
DynCorp will provide approximately 275 qualified personnel to support CSTC-A staff across numerous functional areas.
The value of the initial two-year base period is $157.8m, which includes a 60-day phase-in period to full performance.
The three-year contract has been awarded by the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command.
