The US Army has awarded a contract to General Dynamics to provide support services for the army’s Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4) Product Management Office (PMO).

Under the $154m contract, the company will provide a wide range of predeployment, deployment, on-site, redeployment and garrison support to MC4 PMO system activities as well as worldwide training events, including combat areas and contingency operations use.

Additional services covered under the five-year contract include fielding, training and sustainment of MC4 medical information systems for tactical medical forces that have been deployed to serve soldiers participating in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

The MC4 provides electronic medical records, streamlined medical logistics and enhanced situational awareness for army tactical forces by integrating, fielding and supporting a comprehensive medical information system.
