The US Army Materiel Command has awarded two contracts worth $261m to CSC to provide the army with information technology and logistics services under the army’s logistics modernisation programme (LMP).

Under the contract, CSC will continue to provide the services required to re-engineer and modernise the army’s logistics processes through the adoption of best commercial business practices and associated technologies.

The company will support the sustainment of the modernised system, and will provide services for future deployment and implementation activities.

The LMP involves maintenance, repair and overhaul, planning and execution solutions, and delivers real-time situational awareness and decision-making capabilities that enable the army to provide service to warfighters more quickly and cost effectively.
