LaBarge will provide electronic assemblies for various models of the US Army’s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters under a contract awarded by Sikorsky Aircraft.
Under the $18.9m contract, LaBarge will manufacture various types of electronic assemblies that support lighting and power systems in the helicopters.

Production work on the initial $3.5m release has already been started and is expected to run until December 2010.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Huntsville, Arkansas, and deliveries are scheduled to be complete by 2014.
The Black Hawk helicopter features advanced avionics and electronics systems and can carry out a variety of missions, including combat assault, peacekeeping, disaster relief and medical evacuation.
