The US Army has awarded a contract to L-3 Communications to support the Army Central Command’s Kuwait observer-controller team programme.
Under the $162.7m contract, MPRI, a division of L-3 Communications will act as a subcontractor to Raytheon and provide training services for US and coalition forces operating at the Udari Range in Kuwait.

The US Army has been receiving force-on-force training at company and team level, and battalion task force exercises and training for the associated brigade level staff from MPRI since 1999.
The contract, with a seven-month base period and two option years, began in September 2009 and is expected to be complete by April 2012.
