The US Army Garrison in Brussels has installed alert beacons supplied by Alertus Technologies to enhance the security levels by warning army personnel of threats.

Alert beacons are wall-mounted devices with sounders and strobes to alert military, that inform about the nature of the emergency and appropriate response with the help of an integrated digital message display.

Alertus chief executive officer Jason Volk said timely and reliable mass notification allows military forces to communicate critical information to save lives.

The warning devices are part of an expandable multimodal facility alerting solution that includes digital signage, desktop alerting, panic buttons and LED marquee displays.

In addition, the alerting solution includes fire alarm audio and voice public address interfaces by using text-to-speech technology to cover all areas across military bases.
