In addition to the benefits of recharging the latest lithium-ion batteries, the charger can also be operated as a stand-alone power supply. The battery charger is also the first in a series of watertight power conversion products using a unique new chassis design.

Analytic Systems was awarded the contract, which runs until 2010, as part of its five-year programme with the US military.

The COTS military battery charger meets defence interface standard requirements for the control of electromagnetic interference characteristics of subsystems and equipment, and passes the stringent US Army loose cargo test.
