Harris Corporation has unveiled a new airborne-hardened encoder, which efficiently packages and transmits data and full-motion video gathered by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

The AcuityH264 encoder compresses full-motion video before attaching mission data, such as telemetry and time of acquisition, to significantly increase the intelligence value of the imagery.

The state-of-the-art H.264 compression combined with data standards ensures interoperability with current and future exploitation systems.

The AcuityH264 offers a number of features, including image scaling and cropping of high-definition video, easy incorporation of additional channels and expansion capabilities for on-board storage.
