The radar provides sufficient reaction time for the air defence weapons to engage hostile targets at optimum ranges by precisely acquiring targets while they are still sufficiently far away from friendly troops.

During the demonstration programme conducted jointly with the US Army cruise missile defence systems programme office, a TRS was demonstrated with a baseline improved from two power amplifier modules to four.

TRS US operations chief executive officer Kim Kerry said the advanced capability will ensure that Sentinel radar systems continue to maintain mission-critical status in the fight against terrorism.
