The land forces of Bulgaria and the US have successfully concluded joint task force-east, an infantry training exercise at the Bulgarian military training facility, Novo Selo Training Range.

Bulgarian and American troops trained alongside each other, observing and sharing techniques in three basic areas; squad attack, military operations in urban terrain and attacking an entrenched enemy.

In addition, soldiers received fire support from Strykers – eight-wheeled armoured infantry vehicles used to transport soldiers into the combat field.

Troops from Bulgarian land forces 61st Mechanised Brigade out of Karlovo and Dog Company of US Army 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment (SCR) from Vilseck, Germany participated in the exercise.
