Lockheed Martin has been awarded a US$344m Next Generation Technical Services Contract by the US Department of Defense (DoD).

Lockheed will provide system administration, computer operations and management, systems integration, applications and user support and data visualisation services at four DoD scientific research sites.

The sites are the Navy Oceanographic Office at Stennis Space Center and US Army Engineer Research and Development Center, both in Mississippi, the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson, Ohio, and the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Lockheed Martin is set to begin operations on 1 June this year.
