Boeing has delivered a new Chinook helicopter maintenance trainer to the US Army National Guard that will provide hands-on training without the need to practise on operation helicopters.
The Chinook Helicopter Maintenance Trainer (CHMT) is a full-sized replica of a CH-47D Chinook helicopter.

IDS Support Systems vice president of training systems and services Tony Jones says the CHMT provides a more complete training experience for personnel.
“By adding modern technologies and design techniques to our existing capabilities, Boeing was able to provide a low-risk training solution that brings more capability to the war fighter,” Jones says.
