The UK Ministry of Defence has amended the Defence Information Infrastructure (Future) (DII(F)) contract held by the EDS-led ATLAS consortium, extending its estimated profit by £269m.

The ten-year contract was awarded to ATLAS in 2005 to modernise and create a single coherent MoD information infrastructure.

The amendment will see development in military operations, operating at the SECRET classification level, including the provision of 3,300 user access devices to support deployed operation.

The ATLAS Consortium comprises EDS, Fujitsu Services, General Dynamics, LogicaCMGEDS Defence and Security Systems, IBM and HP.
