QinetiQ North America has been awarded a contract by the US Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) to support its architecture characterisation programme (A2CP).

The five-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a potential value of $39.8m.

The company will support the AMRDEC software engineering directorate (SED) by developing innovative tools and technologies for providing a strong defence against various threats.

AMRDEC transformational architecture initiatives include air and missile defence, force protection, cybertechnology integration, brigade combat team modernisation, and extends to exercise and training support.
