The new $57m dismounted soldier training system will enable soldiers, commanders and units to train in a virtual environment to increase the instruction quality and combat preparedness.

The training system provides the realism required for training in full spectrum operations, including major combat operations, irregular warfare, peace operations, limited intervention and peacetime military engagement.
The system also allows planning and execution of tasks in a challenging virtual environment to achieve training objectives and maximise training time.
The US Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation will implement the new system.
Intelligent Decisions will be the prime contractor along with partners that include Advanced Simulation Research, AVT Simulation, L-3 Link and RealTime Immersive.
