Clark International Logistics has been awarded a contract by the US Army to repair and refurbish the Lebanese Army’s armoured personnel carriers (APC).

Under the contract, the company will refurbish the first 100 of Lebanon’s 1,200 M113 APCs, and the remaining 200 refurbishments will be undertaken by the Lebanese Army under the company’s supervision.

The M113 is a fully tracked armoured personnel carrier to protect the crew and passengers against small arms fire.

The US Army M113 fleet includes a mix of M113A2 and A3 variants and other derivatives equipped with the advanced reliability improvements for selected equipment (RISE) package.

Work on the contract will be carried out at the company’s facility in Poca, West Virginia, US, and at armed forces facilities in Beirut, Lebanon.
