The US Army has placed orders with Oshkosh Defense to deliver more than 400 of the family of medium tactical vehicles (FMTV) trucks and trailers.

The latest $71m order by the US Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command (LCMC) is under the original five-year FMTV contract awarded to Oshkosh.

The FMTV, a series of 17 variants ranging from 2.5t to 10t payloads, supports army and national guard units located worldwide in combat operations, relief efforts, unit resupply missions and other functions.

Deliveries are scheduled to be completed in February 2013.
