The Turkish Army is to receive the upgraded version of the Karayel tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (TUAV), version II, being built by Vestal Defence.
The upgraded version II of the TUAV is being developed following army requirements for a bigger and more capable aircraft.
Version II features a longer wing span and a powerful 95hp engine, which increases the endurance to 20 hours and operational altitude to 22,500ft.
The fully autonomous aircraft is capable of conventional take-off and landing and can be used with a launcher and recovery system in unprepared areas.
The company is also in negotiations with the Turkish Army for a production contract for its new Efe mini UAV.
